Clinical Bangladesch pacistan in the first T20I – Sport

Fast Bowler's Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman rocked Pakistan for 110 before the Opener Parvez Hossain reached 50 when Bangladesh won the first Twenty20 International with seven gates in Dhaka on Sunday.

Taskin ended with 3-22, while Rahman won 2-6 in his four economic overs in 19.3 over for the lowest total Pakistan against Bangladesh in all T20Is.

Parvez hit five six and three borders in his 39-ball 56 to pursue the home team in 15.3 over and take the lead 1-0 in the three-match series.

Debutant Pakistan Pacer Salman Mirza (2-23) Bangladesh opened the (one) early with Wickets by Tanzid Hasan (one), but Parvez and Towhid Hridoy (36) added 73 for the third Wicket to relieve the chase.

It was just Bangladesh's fourth victory against Pakistan in 23 T20Is.

For Pakistan, the opener Fakhar Zaman scored with a 34-ball 44, the six borders and six, while Abbas Afridi 22 and Khushdil Shah 17 achieved.

Pakistan's earlier T20I number against Bangladesh was 127-5 at the same event location in 2021.

Litton admitted that beating on a slow playing field was not easy.

“It is not an easy wind that we fought, but it looked good,” said Litton. “We took early gates and that is the crucial point.”

The Pakistani skipper Salman Agha accused the bad stroke.

“It wasn't enough on the board when we lost the gates at regular intervals that we have to talk about before the second game,” said Salman.

Pakistan skilfully in Bat, had a catastrophic start, with half of the 46 on page 46 with Saim Ayub (six), Mohammad Haris (four) and Agha (three) cheap.

Hasan Nawaz fell without a hit and Mohammad Nawaz made only three.

Zaman, who was four and 30 years old, added 24 for the sixth Wicket before he left after he was returned by Khushdil Shah but was caught from his fold.

Shah and Abbas passed Pakistan during their 33-run stand for the seventh Wicket past the 100 mark and hit four six during their short stand.

The remaining games are on Tuesday and Thursday, also in Dhaka.

Last month, Pakistan Bangladesh had duked into a three-game Home T20i series in a T20I series with three games in the Gaddafi Stadium. The Bangladesh guided today took over the field via Sri Lanka on the back of an away-2: 1 T20I series last week.

Pakistan visits Bangladesh for the first time since December 2021, when she arrived in the country on Wednesday after taking part in an extensive training camp in Karachi, said the PCB.

Pakistan gave the 31-year-old left bowler Salman Mirza a T20 debut, while the all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has returned to his first international appearance since January 2024.

At the beginning of the month, the PCB announced a 15-member squad for the series, with five front line players, including the former captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi, omitted for a second series in a row.
