Man who is charged with Robeson County's death examination

Robeson County, NC (WMBF) – A man is suspended in connection with a death examination by Robeson County with several charges, including murder.

The Sheriff's office of the Robeson County said that the 29-year-old Darius was arrested by Rowland in the early Sunday morning and he was charged:

  • First degree murder
  • Robbery with a dangerous weapon
  • Burning personal property,
  • Break and enter
  • Theft of a firearm
  • Ownership of a firearm by a convicted criminal
  • Steal/change/destroy/evidence

“The arrest of this person who has a long crime history that extends over many years is again charged, this time for the cruel and senseless act of murder,” says Sheriff Birthal Wilkins. “This is not a case of someone who makes a single mistake. This is a repeat offender who, despite numerous chances, chose a path of crime and now culminated in a terrible act of violence that has changed the life of a family and their community forever.”

On Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., the MPs responded to the 800 Block of Hubbard Rd., Rowland, NC, regarding a not reacting man in his garden.

The authorities say when they arrived, they found Jerome Odom (74) from Rowland dead.

Borders is recorded without bond in the Robeson County internment camp.

The examination has not been completed and further fees are expected.
