Ole Miss Freshman Lineman Corey Adams killed while shooting


Ole Miss Freshman's football player Corey Adams was killed on Saturday evening at a shootout in Tennessee.

The sheriff office of the Shelby County said, the 18 -year -old Adams, at the crime scene in Cordova, Tennessee, just outside of Memphis. Four other men were shot outside of a residence and brought to hospitals in the region. Nobody is listed in a critical condition.

Adams was a defender from New Orleans who had registered with Ole Miss this winter. He received all-state honors for the Edna Karr High School twice.

“While our program is trying to deal with this tragic loss, our thoughts are with his loved ones in this incredibly difficult time,” said Ole Miss in a declaration published on social media. “At this point, we will not comment on respect for his family. We ask the Ole Miss Community to keep Corey in her thoughts and to respect the privacy of everyone involved.”

The shelby County's deputies reacted to the scene on Saturday evening and stopped a car at a crossing near the shootout. They found Adams inside and made possible life -saving measures until Shelby County's fire service staff declared him dead.
