49ers publish security George Odum

The San Francisco 49ers announced today that they have released George Odum.

Odum (6-1, 202) originally signed on March 22, 2022 at the 49s. In three seasons at the team (2022-24) he appeared in 40 games (two starts) and registered 14 duels, five passes and a intercept, while 36 duels were added to special teams. He also performed in six post -season competitions and added a special team.

In 2024 he performed in 12 games (two starts) and scored 11 duels and a career height of four passes, which give special teams five duels. In 2022, Odum received AP honors of the second team All-Pro in special teams after led the NFL with 21 special teams.

The 31-year-old from Millington, TN, visited Odum for five years at the University of Central Arkansas (2013-17), where he performed in 48 games (39 starts) and scored 350 duels, defended 13 passes, 6.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumbler recovery and two sections (one berth).
